Alexander James recently hosted an open afternoon at Bonham Grange – an exclusive development in Essex…..
We dressed a stunning 5 bed house for Bulphan Developments LLP, a joint venture partnership between Mizen Properties Limited and Michael J. Norcross, of TOWIE fame.
Bonham Grange is nestled in the countryside and effortlessly combines elegance with traditional design. It is an exclusive development of just 19 luxury five bedroom detached properties in the beautiful rural village of Bulphan.
Alexander James first became involved at Bonham Grange, when our interior architects (Alexander James International) were engaged to design the bathrooms, electrical plans, flooring and architectural finishes. Our Interior design team was introduced at a later stage in the build and produced an impressive scheme combining country and contemporary elements. The brief was for an exclusive executive family home, that had to be comfortable and relaxed – but at the same time very stylish, and aspirational.
The scheme features shades of blues, browns and neutral greys mixed with metallic finishes and natural woods. These include industrial style polished steel, warm toned brass and dark metals which contrast beautifully with the grey oak and wenge. Throughout the house the upholstery is sumptuous and includes velvet finishes and plush cushions, giving a homely feel. A selection of accessories in glass, mirror and metal add the finishing touches leaving you with the feeling that you could move straight in!
The show home has been extremely well received by all visitors, and we recently hosted an open afternoon in conjunction with the developer. We invited local selling agents, developers and potential buyers to join us at the house for drinks and nibbles.
On the day of the event the weather was sunny with a light breeze, which was perfect. Our team set off round the M25 bound for Essex, cars loaded with everything we needed. On arrival we quickly unloaded, and were soon ready to receive our visitors. Before long the first guests arrived and were shown around the property. There was a steady flow of guests all afternoon taking advantage of the sun and enjoying a drink in the immaculate gardens.
All in all it was a successful and enjoyable afternoon with many people viewing the new show home.
