Another successful project that we have recently completed is 19 Buckingham Street, for developer Angle Property. The development is an exclusive collection of eleven luxury apartments in a stunning Grade II listed Georgian building in Covent Garden.
Having been on the market for over a year with little success, Angle Property turned to Alexander James Interiors to design a scheme for the two bedroom show apartment, which then sold just six weeks after launching.
The brief was to create a scheme that provided a contemporary twist on the traditional ‘Gentleman’s Smoking Room’ with bold colours throughout.
The design featured neutral paint finishes contrasted with bright coloured, iconic pieces of furniture. In the drawing room a prominent crimson Chesterfield sofa was paired with statement chairs in order to create a quirky, eclectic style to contrast the classic internal architecture. With its high ceilings, lifted coving, and floor to ceiling sash windows, Angle Property wanted to retain and highlight these classic attributes but compliment them with a decorative scheme to bring it into the 21st century.
