The Pathé Building, formerly occupied by the renowned Pathé film and news company, has been transformed by Legal & General into fifteen luxury apartments. Alexander James Interior Design was commissioned to create two funky, modern apartments in the heart of Soho that would serve as a pied-a-terre and demonstrate the space in two apartments where organisation of the furniture is hard to imagine without any in situ.
When asked to be involved in a project with such a rich history as the Pathé Building, we leapt at the chance. We wanted to design two different apartments taking cues from the film industry, Soho’s rich culture and of course Pathé itself. Old film reels, vintage movie show times boards, quirk, fun and relaxation were all the order of the day, escaping the hustle and bustle of a 24/7 city outside your front door. Whether coming home to settle and watch your favourite film or equally entertain friends over drinks, we wanted to create a home with bundles of style and qualities to suit life in the very heart of London.
The Pathé Building development is being marketed by CBRE Residential.
