Alexander James Interiors was engaged by developer EAB Homes to design the interiors of Beechmont a luxury 6 bedroom house in Beaconsfield. As you approach Beechmont the Arts and Craft façade, Critall-style windows and impressive Romanesque brick arched porch make a big impression! On entering the house you are immediately struck by the triple storey galleried hallway and barely-there glass balustrades – With such distinct styling and luxury, the interior design scheme had to be very special indeed! We set a contemporary tone for of this stunning family home by using a monochrome design for the hallway. On looking upwards you see the hand-finished metal lights falling perfectly alongside the monochrome staircase adding a modern Italian retro-feel: A minimalist look that proves that less is always more!
The vibrant yellow accents in our design for the family kitchen, create a powerful contrast in this industrial style area. Here, the industrial style pendant lighting and accessories add a funky edge to the design.
For the living area we incorporated natural and organic tones and textures, in order to bring the outdoors in. The botanic styling continues with the inclusion of a stunning succulent, bamboo lantern and book selection that picks up the accent colours in the soft furnishings.
Our design for the study area is Eclectic in style and features bespoke grey velvet chairs with red piping. Also, positioned overhead is a statement lighting piece of 6 french drum shades in a black satin finish. We have completed the look with monochrome artwork and metallic accessories.

By using rich tones and textures in the soft furnishings, we have created a sumptuous and luxurious cinema room: Which is just perfect for a family movie night!
Colours and textures were so important in this design project, in order to create the vibrant and exuberant personality of this family home. By using metallics, monochrome and burnt orange in statement artwork, wallpaper and accessories we have added depth and distinction to the scheme.
This is a bold scheme with amazing design features, that is perfect for a style conscious contemporary family.
